Andrew was the copy cornerstone of the agency for almost eight years. During that time, he built up an incredible knowledge of nearly every industry we cover as an agency, which meant he could turn some of the most complex topics into easily digestible content. He was usually the first point of call when someone in the team needed help understanding a technology, product or system or to provide a word or paragraph when writer’s block hit.
Grammar was another strong point (having been an old-school journalist) and one area he was always quick to correct, particularly on the misuse of apostrophes and commas, and whether it’s UK English, US English and the Oxford version – something I’m sure some of our clients can also relate to!
His sharp wit, creativity and sense of humour were present in every exchange and will be greatly missed by the whole Coda team (as will his taste in Christmas jumpers, his sharing of questionable gifs and his love of biscuits & sweet treats), as well as by all who had the pleasure of working with him.
We have so many happy memories of Andrew, and his words and content will be around the agency for years to come (although some words we probably shouldn’t repeat).
Andrew leaves a big hole in the agency through both his personality and talent, and our words here could never do justice to his brilliance.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Angie and the family
