Since becoming an Employee Owned Trust in 2024, our team have a sense of shared initiative and ownership. And the leadership are operating with greater transparency too, sharing more information about how the agency is run. That has resulted in more ideas from across the team, greater collaboration, and a collective drive towards our future success.

Great marketing agency culture is based on ethical values that put people first. At Coda we don’t believe in pool tables, beanbags and forced fun. But we do believe in providing the kind of flexible support that we all need from time to time. Our values are based in how we believe people should be treated – with respect, equality and dignity. Becoming Employee Owned has allowed us to create a truly people-first place of work, that supports and rewards our team as equitably as possible.

Sustainability it at the heart of Coda’s strategy. And being a people-centric agency our choice to become Employe Owned was largely due to it being one of the most socially-sustainable business models out there. We also care about planet too, and were one of the first agencies in Dorset to adopt Ecologi as a carbon-offsetting partner. We proudly double-offset the carbon footprint of the entire Coda team and we regularly donate >1% of our profits to charities and regional causes that our team care about.
The Coda team have indirect ownership of the agency via an Employee Owned Trust (EOT). Although the team don’t own shares themselves, they do receive rewards that are directly linked to Coda’s success. That means our clients work with a team who are committed and motivated to achieving their goals.
One of the differences about being an Employee Owned business is having a Trust Board who work with the agency’s senior leadership to help shape strategies and plans.
Luckily for us, we’ve got a pretty great bunch of people doing that here at Coda!
